If you haven’t had a look at the Student Success Center, you may be missing out on an invaluable resource!
The goal of Brown Mackie College’s Student Success Center is to improve students’ academic success and provide assistance in developing student’s self-sufficiency. The SSC Staff, comprised of both faculty members and student peers, is extremely dedicated to giving academic tutorial support to the student body. Tutors assist students in a range of ways: reviewing subject material for exams, clarifying assignments, suggesting appropriate study strategies, and encouraging independent learning.
The Student Success Center services include:
- enhancing study skills
- examining various learning styles
- developing a variety of math strategies
- improving reading comprehension
- expanding writing strategies
- reducing test anxiety
The SSC Staff will be happy to assist and coach students in completing assignments, and direct them to appropriate resources as needed. The Center is located on Main Campus in room 107, with all activities coordinated by Glenna Abney. Please visit and set up an appointment to meet with a tutor!
Sign up in the SSC for the Computer Literacy Skills Workshop with Prince Ellis every Wednesday and Friday at 2:00 pm.
